The general duties of the academic staff are detailed in the Technion’s academic regulations. Article 44 of the academic regulations stipulates that issues related to the discipline of academic staff members are addressed within the Technion’s academic framework and primarily revolve around academic-specific matters. The principle is that judgment is carried out by peers in areas where the peers are experts.
In cases where there is suspicion of a disciplinary offense, one can contact the bodies responsible for discipline: the head of the unit, the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA), the Disciplinary Tribunal, and the Appeals Tribunal.
