Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities Announces Two New Members from the Technion

Congratulations to Professor Ashraf Brik (the Schulich Faculty of Chemistry) and Professor Michael (Miki) Elad (the Henry and Marilyn Taub Faculty of Computer Science) on their selection as members of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

Ashraf Brik is recognized for his seminal contributions for the development of chemical approaches to synthesize post-translationally modified proteins (e.g. ubiquitinated proteins) for biochemical, biophysical and functional studies.

Michael (Miki) Elad has made outstanding contributions in the fields of signal and image processing and machine learning, in particular inverse problems, sparse representations, and deep learning.
