In the Technion’s constitution and regulations, it was established that one of the Institute’s goals is “to serve the State of Israel and its economy by means of consult, research and other suitable means”.
Consulting activities contribute to spreading the knowledge and the professional experience accumulated at the Technion, and it enriches the knowledge and professional experience of the staff member. It benefits the good name of the Institute and improves the quality of teaching. Accordingly, the Technion encourages such activity, subject to the following limitations:
The scope of the staff member’s outside employment will not exceed one day a week. A lengthy engagement of a staff member with an outside source requires confirmation. For that, please submit a request to the Office for Academic Staff (Mrs. Pnina Iluz). Confirmations should also be received for teaching outside the Technion and for performing administrative and academic roles in colleges. Organizations and institutions belonging to the Technion or under its academic auspices will not be considered outside elements.
